There is nothing more unique than the atmosphere of bar premises dating back from the nineteenth century, especially in New York City. Since 1892, Old Town Bar has kept most of its original features. From floor to ceiling, every single part of the interior design is just a threat for the eyes. The mosaic tiles, the 55-foot long mahogany and marble counter, the beveled mirrors and the original gas light fixtures (now electrically wired) are just few examples of the richness of textures. The most notorious part of Old Town Bar is certainly the drop-floor Hinsdale, known to be the Cadillac of urinals. The owner hold a celebration for their 100th anniversary, in 2010, and the mayor of New York at that time (Michael Bloomberg) wrote a fantastic letter in honor one of the city's "unofficial landmarks". Old Town Bar was a popular speakeasy during Prohibition (under the name "Graig's Restaurant"), and remains highly sought-after for movie scenes and music video productions, including "Jump Around" (House of Pain) or "Bad Girl" (Madonna).
